STARS and Ohana Tigers Softball organization has teamed up to create the ultimate softball program for elite player that desire to play at major D-1 colleges. Shawn Quarles and Keven Griffin have been working for the last 8 months to put together a deal that would makes STARS the home training facility for the Ohana Tigers. Adding batting cages to the already pro-level training facility has created a training environment that rivals most college facilities.

According to Shawn, “The vision was to provide players a college training experience that would not just keep them on pace to get to college but would prepare them to be dominate at the collegiate level. I’ve been around the game for a long time and always thought about creating my own organization. Partnering with STARS gives Ohana Tigers the opportunity to start an organization that will address the total needs of our players.

Our girls will have access to performance training specifically for softball, injury prevention/ rehabilitation services, sports nutrition counseling, and the indoor space where we can do all of our skill work. We are very excited about what this means for our organization and for softball as a whole. With the competitive nature of the game today, we felt it was important to create an organization that considered the toatal needs of players, not just the play on the field.

The Tigers will start their inaugural season with a loaded 16 U team that features players offered by some of the top college programs in country. The name Ohana stands for family, which symbolizes a bond that can never be broken. These girls are looking forward to making a family statement as they make a run for a National title this season. Be on the lookout as the Tigers are coming to town.
